• Applicants are required to submit applications via Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS)
• PSDP Applicants should send their completed PSDP-Supplemental-Application to psdp@medicine.bsd.uchicago.edu
• Applications should include 4 letters of recommendation:
  • 1 from MSPE/Dean of Students
  • 1 from Department of medicine Chair or their designee
  • 2 from additional faculty members who have directly supervised your work
• ERAS supplemental application is optional

• Three months of supervised U.S. clinical experience is a mandatory requirement. Please note that an observership or externship is not considered clinical experience.
• Applicants must register for the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP)

All Interviews Will Be Virtual

• Application Season:
  • We will begin reviewing applications on September 26, 2024. Due to a high volume of applications, we are very unlikely to extend interview offers to applicants who do not signal our program. We do not use signals for rank list decision-making. University of Chicago (Pritzker) medical students and students who have completed visiting rotations at our hospital should signal our program in order to be considered.
  • Interview invites will be sent in waves. The majority of interview invitations will be sent in mid-October and late-October. Limited interview invitations may be sent after November 1^st. Interview offers will not be extended after December 6, 2024.
• Our interview season will run from November to mid-January
• All applicants who are invited to interview will also be offered an optional informal virtual social event with our housestaff.
